Waking up at 8am on Day 2, I had no idea how difficult the day was to be. I had heard that I was going to be carrying the children’s mikoshi. I had seen it, it looked much smaller than the regular mikoshi that I had carried the day before.

I went to the Aquarium in Enoshima. It was a rather enjoyable experience, but I refused to watch the dolphin show. I don’t think it’s right to keep animals in captivity and force them to do tricks for our entertainment.

I had the opportunity to walk around a park I’ve never been to before with a friend. He has been doing this for a long time. I learned a lot. I took 140+ photos and only a few are any good.
My trip to Fukuoka was short but sweet. Compared to Yokohama I rather enjoyed the relative lack of people. Even for the largest city on Kyushu it felt like my little ward in Yokohama had more people than Hakata station. Continue reading
