A journey of a million miles begins with a single step. – A Dead Dude (of the non-salad dressing variety).
Like this dead guy said, or at least he said something similar, all journeys begin with a single step. The first step is often thought the most crucial step, as without it nothing can begin. Likewise without the last step, nothing ends. Starting and Quitting are easy. Continuing something, in my mind, is the hardest thing. Continuing when things are more difficult than we would like. It’s this perseverance that pays off and allows us to grow. It shows us what we are capable of (I’ll give you a hint, it’s a lot more than we give ourselves credit).
So called “Overnight Success” doesn’t exist. There are years of work that we don’t see that lead up to this “Overnight Noticing”.
Men willingly believe what they wish. – Caesar (the salad dressing dude)
Men can do anything they wish if they believe it’s true and for the right cause. This belief will take a man past the previously mentioned first step and partway through the journey. Whether or not they continue is anybody’s guess, but the point is they begin and continue something for a period of time.
What is the point of this I hear you ask? Well, this is the first post on this website and I hope that perhaps these quotes from dead dudes would help keep me motivated to continue on my journey.
When this journey ends is anybody’s guess. It might take a month. It might take a year. It might take a lifetime. I’m still not sure where it’s going to end. What I do know is that it begins here. For better or worse.
